DIY a Stylish Bangle
By Cynthaz • Jun 22nd, 2008 • Category: SewingHave you noticed in magazines the stylists always seem to have the perfect matching bangle to go with any outfit? Well, I’ve tried to find bangles to match my garments, mostly without success. I think those stylists have some secret sources they’re not telling us about! A matching bangle really makes an outfit look more put together and finished and I’ve just found a tutorial on how to make your own. The best thing is: it’s really easy and cheap!

Do use embroidery thread rather than your usual sewing thread as it’s thicker so it will give a beautiful result. There are some amazing colors available too. And make each wrap of thread nice and tight up against the previous one so none of the bangle will show through. If you have trouble with bangle showing through, just paint it a similar color before you start wrapping.
And if you don’t want to make your own, there are some amazing ones on Etsy. Our pick is this African wooden inspired bangle:
