The glasses you wear can make a big difference to your overall appearance. I switch between glasses and contact lenses, and when I wear glasses I like a black rectangular shape to channel that sexy librarian look. I choose a thicker full frame, as it hides the edges of the glass (I need really thick glass). You’ll have more options, including nearly invisible frames and thinner edges, if you don’t need as much vision correction.
I didn’t know that you could buy frames online. I took a look at Zenni Optical’s site. They sell eyeglasses online, including frames for your prescription lenses and frames for the sunglass style prescription glasses. This link has lots of comments about shoppers experiences with Zenni Optical. They certainly had a huge range of options. My pick are these, they’re nice and thick and pretty fashionable too. Black is a good colour for glasses as it will tone with any outfit. Of course you could have different frames for each day of the week if you wanted to!

If you wear glasses full-time, having a pair of prescription sunglasses is a lifesaver in the fashion stakes. I’ve even seen some lenses that will change colour depending on the light level, so you don’t need an extra pair of glasses.

Do you need a personal loan? The internet can be a place to start looking. If you need an Online Personal Loan there’s an online loan service which offers online approvals and are available nationwide (that means America by the way, sometimes Americans tend to forget that the rest of the world exists!). They do Pay Day Loans which are an emergency loan, borrowing against your next pay check. These can be useful in an emergency, while you make changes to your budgeting system to ensure you don’t get into trouble again. The web site has lots of text information, so make yourself a cup of coffee, get a nice biscuit, and have a thorough read.

When summer comes around again, water is on the mind of every Australian. With permanent water restrictions now in place, to keep our gardens looking green we need to get creative, and become self-sufficient in our water use. But winter is the time to get cracking on installing some Water Tanks so all that lovely rain can be stored to use during summer, instead of running away down the gutter. Did you know that the Australian government is offering a rebate of between $200 and $1000 towards the cost of purchasing and plumbing a rain water tank to retrofit into your home for uses such as toilet flushing, clothes washing and for hot water supply? The Rain Water Tanks Company does, and they can do an online quite to supply your brand new rain water tank. They also offer do it yourself packs, so you can get the tank you need without paying for installation.

Are you a good flirt? If you go to Victory Hair, you can play the Extreme Style by VO5 Ultimate Flirting Championship game and test your skills. I played it and it was fun.
I’ve been out of the flirting race for a while, but it’s always fun to try some new lines for fun on my husband, and it’s easy because I know he’ll come home with me, even if he doesn’t like my line! Pick up lines are best used with a good dose of humor, as they’re often pretty cheesy. But they can be great to break the ice at a blind date, just share your worst or most cheesy pick up line for a good laugh.
There are plenty of great Hollywood quotes you can use in real life as an ice-breaker. You could make a game of them with your date and see who can remember the most or pick which movie they are from. Here’s one to start with: “You had me at hello.”

Who wants to go on a holiday, holiday, holiday? I do! I want to go everywhere. My best summer vacations actually happen in autumn or spring because we travel in the off seasons to save money and make it easier to get accommodation without having to book rooms far ahead. That way we can be a bit more spontaneous. All my vacations have been my favourites. I can’t pick just one. There’s so many amazing places to visit in the world I wish I could go away every year. I like to spend a month in one country rather than moving around a whole lot of places. Even then, it’s hard to pick which places to visit. There’s just so much choice. Every moment of our holidays is fun, even the long plane trips, jet-lag and lugging those heavy suitcases. Actually, those bits aren’t much fun at the time, but I still look back at them with nostalgia.
Perhaps I’ll go to the United States of America next time. Have I inspired you? Are you looking for New York City tours? Or perhaps things to do in Atlanta? Trusted Tours & Attractions, the online travel guides, have a newsletter, and if you sign up you can have a chance of winning an $150 Itunes voucher. Just the thing for that long plane trip. Good luck and get entering!

Glenn Beck has a really slick looking website. It’s all tricked out to look like the site of a political campaigner. I haven’t been lucky enough to catch his show so I have no idea if I agree with his views or not, but political satire is always fun so I bet he’s worth a look. You can purchase tickets direct from the website too – always a good thing.
He’s also doing a current summer political tour and a show in Dallas on July 17th will be broadcasted nationally to select movie theaters nationwide on that date. And if you just can’t wait for Beck, the trailer’s on his website. Time to get political!

Do you know who Glenn Beck is? He does political satire comedy. I watched the movie trailer on his website. The video was very slick and highly produced but didn’t give much away about what he actually does. He’s very American, so if you’re not from America he might not be to your taste. But if you are American or interested in American politics, this might be right up your alley. Glenn Beck’s also is doing a Summer Political Tour and a show in Dallas on July 17th which will be broadcasted live via FathomEvents to select movie theaters nationwide on that date. If you’re interested in having a laugh at American politics, why not take a look?

I know you will have heard about the skincare brand Dermalogica. They make lovely high quality products that are gentle on your skin and they always seem to come up when celebrities are asked what skincare products they use. I’ve just heard about an Australian company, The Facial Company, that offers Dermalogica products to purchase online. They also offer free shipping if you spend more than $185 which you could easily get to if you purchase yourself the whole range. It would last for ages too.

I’m so pleased to see web-stores like this setting up in Australia, saving us the extra shipping costs of ordering from overseas. And gentle skincare products are always worth seeking out.
I find many products make my skin feel tight and dry, and I want my skincare to combat redness, not increase it! That’s why I rely so heavily on samples so I can test that products will be right for me before I make the switch. With Dermalogica having such a good reputation for gentle skincare, this is one product I’m interested in trying.

Sometimes too much fashion is never enough. After getting your daily fix on Chic Street you want more, more, more! Are you an expert and want to share your expertise with the world? Have you ever wanted to start your own fashion website? When you’re looking for web hosting, Web Hosting Geeks have a huge list of options to choose from. They list all the features and prices, and even link to external reviews of the hosting options which is a huge help. And the reviews are honest too, they also include the negatives ones like what’s on this page. After all, you’re an expert in fashion, not web hosting, so why not let someone else do all the hard work for you.

How do I avoid spending energy on cleaning? I use the good old clothes line instead of an expensive clothes drier, I stick to one full load of laundry a day (difficult with two small children), and I check the Energy Star rating of cleaning appliances when we’re in the market for new ones.
When you’re looking for energy efficient appliances, take a look at the Dirt Devil AccuCharge Stick Vac and Hand Vac. They say it uses 70% less energy, and is the first cordless cleaning technology to earn Energy Star approval.
Do I dial up a maid? Absolutely not. Just think how much money down the drain that would be!

Do I call in the dog to lick up any food spilled on the kitchen floor? Absolutely yes! That’s his job as canine vacuum cleaner.
Or do I just avoid cleaning all together? No. I wish I could live with the mess like my darling husband, but mess really stresses me out. The house has to be clean by the end of the day. I even have a system of “intensively cleaning” one room a little each day, and this way I slowly move around the house getting to all those little jobs like paint touch-ups that otherwise get pushed to the bottom of the to do list.
